BATON ROUGE DANCE CONNECTION / THE DANCE CONNECTION STUDIO POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

 
  • Students that begin classes in January are guaranteed 33 classes per year.

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of the month and now due no later than the 5th of the month.
    --Any payment not received on or by the 5th will be billed a 25% late fee.
    --Method of payments for non-tuition items : Auto draft, Online Parent Portal Payments, Cash, Check or Money Order.
    --To register a new account please log on www.brdance.com and select “Account Log In”, from there you will need to use the email you provided us with and select “forgot password” You will receive an email to create a new password.

  • All families are required to have a credit card on file with the office. Any UNPAID bill will be processed on the 6th of the month and will include the 20% late fee of the OUTSTANDING balance.

  • A $25 fee will be charged for each “NSF” draft. After 2 NSF drafts payment will only be accepted by cash or money order.

  • All accounts must be kept current in order for the dancers to continue in classes. If an account is not clear by the end of the said billing month dancers will not be allowed back to class until the account is brought current, including any late fees.

  • v Families may choose the number of installments they would like to make through the season. No less than 1 payment and no more than 9 for full season enrollments, 4 for spring only enrollments and 5 for fall season only enrollments.

  • All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. This includes anything payable to Baton Rouge Dance Connection/The Dance Connection, such as and not limited to tuition, competition or recital costumes, recital programs, videos, tickets, t-shirts, convention and competition fees, choreography fees, master classes, registration fees, etc.)

  • Full Season enrollments: Due to the upfront discount offered, there is a no cancellation policy or refunds policy. The full season contract is valid from January 14, 2019 through Dec 1, 2019. Any dancer who drops before the season ends will be automatically charged the payment method on file for the remaining 2019 dance season balance due. This includes Tuition, Costume Fees and Recital Fees. This balance and any amounts paid for the 2019 dance season are also non-transferrable. A full season contract is to be signed.

  • Spring / Fall Semester Enrollments: If your child must drop classes for any reason written notice must be received in writing or by email prior to the 15th of the month in order not to be billed for the upcoming months/installment. Not eligible for paid in full discount.

  • Fall Semester Only Enrollment is a full commitment semester. All costume fees are to be paid by July 15th, 2019. There is a no cancellation policy for Fall Semester Enrollments. Any dancer who drops before the season ends will automatically be charged the payment method on file for the remaining 2019 dance season balance due. This includes, Tuition, Costume Fees and Recital Fees. Not eligible for paid in full discount.

  • Tuition discounts are on class tuition only, not on costumes or recital fees. The fewer installments you make the bigger discount you will receive. Because the discount is given up front, there are no refunds should your dancer drop class at any time. Tuition discounts cannot be combined with sibling discounts. and are only for full season enrollments.

  • We strive to have our classes run on time. PLEASE have your dancer potty, ballet shoes on, hair pulled back and READY to enter class at your child’s class start time. All classes will dismiss 5 minutes prior to their end time in order for us to start the next class on time.

  • Dancers in our Baton Rouge studio…NO TAP SHOES are EVER allowed in the lobby!

  • All dancers should have a cover up on over all his/her dance attire. Street shoes should be worn into and out of the studio. Dance shoes are NEVER allowed outside of the studio. Not only is it bad for your shoes but for our dance floors as well.

  • Chewing gum is NEVER allowed inside the studio. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • All dancers hair must be pulled all the way back away from his/her face. Buns/dew drops are preferred over ponytails.

  • Please have your child’s first and last name in all of his/her belongings. BRDC/TDC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • All correspondence should go through the office. (info@brdance.com, 225.293.1213, or 225.713.1455)
    --Any payments made by check or cash should be placed in the drop box located in the lobby.
    --Please label all payments with dancers name and month you are paying for.

  • Dancers will not be allowed to leave the studio unattended. For the safety of our dancers, staff, and parents all dancers should be escorted into and out of the dance studio for all classes by an adult. Please do not send big brother or sister to get your dancer.

  • The studio will not be held responsible for anyone under the age of 18. No siblings, cousins, friends etc. should be left in the lobby at any time. A parent or guardian of anyone under the age of 18 should always be present with them at the studio.

  • If at any time during classes the lobby is empty, the outside lobby door will be locked. The doors will be unlocked promptly at the end of class.


  • Classroom doors will open 5 minutes prior to your classes start time. It is imperative for the consistency of classes that your dancers are dropped off and picked up on time EVERY week. Dancers consistently being picked up more than 5 minutes after her scheduled class time will be charged a fee of $5 per 5 minutes.
